Jesse Lee Johnson – Guitarist
One of the most talented guitarists I have known and a
genuinely wonderful person and a real pleasure to know. I personally recommend
this CD for ANYBODY who appreciates great guitar playing. Jesse is a
world-class guitarist right up there with such greats as his idol Les Paul,
Chet Atkins, and Chuck Berry. That’s not talk, that’s fact! Jesse is from Salem and widely regarded as
one of the most versatile guitarists in the business. He has been playing
professionally since the 60’s. Most of that time was spent in Las Vegas, Reno
and Lake Tahoe where he played guitar behind different well-known artists of
that period. He has backed such famous people as Roger Miller, The Righteous
Brothers, Trini Lopez, The Four Aces, Fats Domino, Glen Campbell, Bobby Darin
and even the great Chuck Berry. As
Jesse says: “Those were the best learning years of my career. When that curtain
opened, you had to be ready.” His latest CD “The ‘Sweet Hot’ Guitars of Jesse
Lee Johnson – With A Latin Touch” was produced and engineered by Skip Spane at
Skip’s studio in Salem and once again exemplifies his great talent. You may
purchase a autographed copy of this CD directly from Jesse by sending a check
or money order, payable to Jesse Lee Johnson, in the amount of $12.50 (shipping
included) to Jesse at: Jesse Lee Johnson, 380 Kevin St. S.E., Salem, OR 97306
or with a credit card through CD Baby at this link: http://cdbaby.com/cd/tshgojlj

We welcome a new addition
to the KPIE Talent Library, SUGAR BAYOU. These very talented artisans
come from Houston, Texas. They write and play, in their words, “eclectic
acoustic music – joyful, complex, ethereal vocals & instruments infused
with folk, bluegrass, swingy blues-jazz, Celtic & Cajun traditions (& a
touch of Texas rockin’ country).” That’s an excellent description. They really
are a group of professional musicians who know how to make great music. Some
major label is sound asleep not to signed these folks up! A winning team with a
very winning sound! To learn more about
them, get one of their CD’s or for booking information visit their website at http://www.sugarbayouband.com/ Below is their newest CD entitled “Dance
Hall Incident.” From the vocals to the instrumentals, an excellent collection
talent well put together in a CD all can enjoy.

we travel with him through his life and experiences. It’s a wonderful trip
through time with a dear friend and his family. Eldon is also a Past President

said, “try it, you’ll like it!” If you would like to buy a copy, email Eldon
